The Tortoise and the Hare · First words (ages 3-4)
Level “First words” (ages 3-4): one or two short sentences per page, to be read aloud to the child. Our own version of the Aesop classic: a boastful hare and a steady tortoise race each other. A short story about perseverance and humility, with illustrations to read as a family.
